Today and after some heavy security presence
in areas and around mosques as well as inside squares, demos managed to take
place after Friday prayers from Joud Mosque in Maisaloon Street, inside
Houriyeh Mosque in Slaybeh, Beirqdar Mosque in Mashrou’ al-Slaybeh, Muhajireen Mosque
in al-Raml, and Mansoori Mosque in Jableh. A demo took place at night in
al-Raml and another in Slaybeh.
A surveillance plane was seen flying
over Brodan dam towards Ghnemiyeh, Mraij, and Salma early morning. Before that
there were gunfire and rockets aimed at Kert, Saqiet al-Kert, and Mraij villages
from Qasab area. Also gunfire was heard coming from Rasyoon villafe at Dfail
and Bkas.
Shelling was renewed on the mountains
after clashes that took place last night in Beit Ewan and al-Hilweh in Turkman
Mountains as well as Ghnemiyeh in Kurds Mountains. That caused many fires to
break in vast area in nearby mountains. And during the day other fires broke in
Qantara Mountains and Beit-Malaq and Fronloq due to missile and more than 10
rockets falling on al-Khadra, al-Qantara, al-Soda, and Fronloq areas.
Later on shelling began with three
rockets from Qasab base onto Salma area and then at night as well; many fell
injured. Rabiah and Dorishan were also targeted by the shelling.
In Haffeh shelling hit Jengheel
coming from bases in Zubar and Sharifa; most rockets fell into farms. All roads
leading to Babanna and Jengheel were closed except for Khofalla road where a
barrier was extracted disallowing anything from going inside the area including
bread and food supplies.
According to the Media Center of
Jabal al-Turkman brigade and after security and Shabbiha tried breaking into
Beit Ewan the brigade resisted them, and Colonel Hatem Zraiq from Shabatlieh
village got killed; he was the commander of Beit Ewan base that continuously
shelled villages in Turkman Mountains for a month.
Maraij was targeted with sheling
again tonight and its mosque was hit. Babanna and Jengheel were also shelled
heavily and many houses were hit with rockets.
Rockets launched from Iramo last
night fell near Shellef village injuring a defected policeman who was moved
into Turkey for treatment. Light bombs were used in skies of Salma and Dourine
while the area was fired at from Qasab and Iramo. Also, 4 rockets fell around
Ikko village with no injuries reported.
Two were killed today when their car
was targeted with a rocket in Salma; they both were not identifies as yet since
their bodies are in a very bad shape.
Assad forces on Kfarieh barrier
arrested Fayez Kamal Yaseen and Ramez Adeeb abdul-Wahab from Shirqaq village of
Haffeh on Wednesday 8/8/2012. Last night security raided Tabousheh Café in
Slaybeh arresting tow of its employees.
A new security barrier was placed
Hutteen Club and another inside the Port near the mosque.
A big explosion was heard tonight in
al-Izzi area in Jableh.
