In this day called “Day
of rage over Russia” by activists in conjunction with Lavrov’s visit to
Damascus, a demo was organized in Shukri Hakim School in Mashrou’ Al-Slaybeh condemning
the visit despite heavy security. So did the students in another demo in Mashrou’
Al-Slaybeh which was dispersed by security.
A student demo took
place in Bustan Al-Sidawi, while another demo took to the streets from
Al-Ashrafiyeh passing through Oweineh. A similar demo happened out of Al-Baath
School.
At night people
demonstrated in Qnainas, and in Al-Sijn area citizen cheered for God aloud while
there was gunfire heard near a security point.
Many shops were
subject to theft last night in Annabeh marketplace, and as the owners went to
police station to complain the answer was a plain: “this is the freedom you
want”! We must mention that security and police cars always exist at night in
that area.
A good number of
ambulances arrived at the army hospital today carrying wounded soldiers from
Homs.
We received news that
Assad army is trying to recruit more men into his ranks now.
Many arrests were made
today by security forces, as a young man and a woman were arrested and others
were tracked. Thugs also attacked Tabiyat area and randomly arrested many near
a local restaurant; names are yet to be identified. Thugs also assembled
tonight in Masbah Al-Shaab.
Four BMBs carried by
trucks entered Talaa Camp through Joumaa Souq barrier around 8:00 last night.
Five
cars were seen in Al-Raml with thug members in Al-Bahar Street, as well as a
sniper spotted on the roof of Daas Building. Six military security pick-ups
surrounded Oweineh near Baath School, along with two air force security cars
who kept roaming the place.
Yesterday two strong
explosions took place; one was in Tabiyat near Rahman Moaque, and the other was
in Mashrou’ Al-Slaybeh near Olabi Café, in addition to those mentioned in
yesterday’s report. Gunfire was also heard last night in Skantoori.
In Jableh, people in
many areas cheered aloud after a demo took place in Jarkas area, which was followed
by heavy security in Jarkas and Izzi neighborhoods. And today many security cars
were seen roaming Al-Izzi area.
