Daily report from Latakia on Monday 26/09/2011:
Four different demonstration took place yesterday in the city; near Adnan Al-Maliki school, near Al-Fatahi mosque in Slaybeh, Mughrabi mosque in Al-Qal'a, and in Mashou' Al-Slaybeh calling for the execution of the president and in support of Homs. And a demonstration of 400 students started from the Qadisya school in Owaineh called for the downfall of the regime at noon time.
A protest happened near Al-Fatahi mosque and called for the regime's fall and supporting Hama and Homs, met by security who exploded a sound bomb to disperse the crowd. And another protest near Al-Mughrabi mosque with the same demands took place.

And near Al-Mshati mosque a protest broke out, where young men wrote anti-regime slogans on the ground, and shouted them out loud, and just as security started to appear a huge explosion was heard, and that was followed by a round of arrests near the mosque with the help of Saeed Shakoosh and a guy from the Burghol family, and amid heavy security presence civilians were brought to conduct interviews on Al-Dounia TV channel carrying bombs and pretending to be demonstrators.
On this day security raided the house of Mhammad Awad in Slaybeh attempting to arrest him, and when they didn't find him they tried taking his sister, which led the father to call his son urging him to turn himself in, and that's exactly what happened.
We mention that near Al-Batta building 4 security cars with armed men were located, as well as patrols roaming around Slaybeh area.
According to eye-witnesses, police and ambulance cars tried yesterday near the Nursing school to force female students to get out of the school in queues avoiding and gatherings.
A big explosion was heard in Al-Ashrafiyeh.
And in the local university many student, specially those coming from Al-Jisr, were deprived of residences for no apparent reasons.
Some of the names of detainees from Al-Raml:
Muhannad Kheder, arrested on the 24th. Mustafa Haskeero, arrested on the 24th. Abdulla Shraiqi, who was arrested very brutally. Mhammad Joud, arrested on the 24th, a mobile shop owner. Rami Hammami, arrested since 15/08 and is believed to have passed under torture. Ala' Haj Sulaiman, arrested on Thursday.
A pro-government ceremony was held in Al-Raml starting at 5:30 till around 8:00, and was interrupted by anti regime residents who who shouted their slogans and quickly ran away, which resulted in many raids in the area.
