Daily report from Latakia on Saturday 24/09/2011:
A protest took place in Tabiyat at night calling for the downfall of the regime, boycotting schools, and in solidarity with Homs, and was later on attacked by security which resulted in raiding Tabiyat and Sidawi areas and in many arrests.
Three security cars were acting as mobile barrier moving between Tala'eh Camp and the main square in Al-Raml stopping people and cars and searching for mobiles mainly.

The city also witnessed heavy security presence in Al-Eskan and Mashrou' Al-Slaybeh,and a bus full of thugs was spotted near Al-Batta building in Slaybeh along with other security reinforcement in many areas.
Two graves were dug out in Al-Raml knowing that they were buried there for more than a month
State TV toured in Shaikh Daher trying to suggest that life is going on normally in all of the city.
And in news from Jableh:
Security raided Draibeh, and a group of men were standing in front of Estanboulli mosque wearing full army uniform yet their looked older than the average army men which means they're most likely to be security members. Security and thugs cars roamed around many parts of the city for the sole purpose of terrorizing people.
