After midnight of last night and early morning clashes
between FSA and Assad forces took place in Kinsebba near Qasatel and Marj
al-Zawieh and heavy gunfire was heard in the area. Today violent clashes
happened in Sterieh village resulting in the destruction of many of Assad’s
army cars, and there were injuries on both sides.
In addition to the violent shelling from Younseh barrier at
Maraand and al-Najiah viilages late last night as one building was hit, early
morning saw army flight over Qastal and Kinsebba and shooting from helicopters.
The day also witnessed the most violent shelling on area so
far, with more than 200 rockets since the morning, numbers of wounded ones
increased and five were seriously injured. All that caused fires to many houses
and farms in Salma and Dourine and nearby villages due to the arbitrary
shelling. Al-Mraij village was rained with tens of rockets right at ‘Iftar’
time tonight.
19 year-old Abdul-Majeed Zamo from Boz al-Kherbeh village,
and first year law student, died today after being targeted by a sniper on
Areeha highway while on his way back to Latakia from Aleppo. Ahmad Intakli from
al-Turbeh near Salma passed away today due to the shelling. 35 year-old Ali
Khalid Aabdeen also got killed by a sniper during the shelling on Salma, he was
originally from Shirqaq village of al-Haffeh.
Last night security and Shabbiha raided a building in
Slaybeh, and then raided al-Janoodi area in Slaybeh as well chasing after
protestes. 7 security cars were seen heading to Tabiyat, and three other cars
patrolled Antakia and MarTaqla.
A big explosion was heard today in Sheikh Daher around 4:00
in the afternoon and was followed by gunfire.
As usual security spread and surrounded many areas at night,
and as usual that didn’t stop demo from taking place from Houriyeh Mosque,
Yaseen Mosque in Mashrou’s al-Qala, Antakia Street, and Hussein Mosque in
Mashrou’s al-Slaybeh where security attacked the demo and used gunfire to
disperse protesters like what happened in Antakia. The same took place after
the demo of Omar Bin al-Khattab Mosque where two tanks were seen in al-Qasr
al-Adli Street as security surrounded al-Eid Square.
Security and Shabbiha also fired in most areas to scare
citizens, and heavy gunfire was heard coming from most barriers in al-Raml
where one sound bomb was also used.
