Daily report from Latakia on Saturday 03/12/2011
According
to an eye witness in Owieneh and in reference to yesterday's explosion;
a security car was positioned at the entrance an hour before the
incident, and the explosion took place in what we believe to be an
attempt to blame it on "armed gangs" specially that many who live in the
building are Christians.
Power was off in many parts
of the city today such as; Qnainas, Bsateen Al-Reehan, Al-Raml
Al-Janoobo, and in Mashou' Al-Slaybeh. Power was also off for more than
six hours today in Owieneh at morning and noon.
An
explosion was heard today in Mashou' Al-Slaybeh near Shukri Hakeem
school, and another one later at night in the square in Qnainas.
People in Mashou' Al-Slaybeh praised the Lord aloud as a sign of protest as usual.
On Thursday the 1st of the month, 29 years old Muhammad Ojail was released after seven months of arrested.
However,
Assad thugs arrested Mousa, Abdul Wahid, Ibrahim, and Yusef Shammout,
all brothers of Sobhi Shammout who died in yesterday's explosion in
Oweineh. Ibrahim Kabbol was arrested about a week ago, as well as Alaa
and Muhammad Dawood, and Wasim Haj Husein. We've also learned that two
brothers Muhammad and Hilal Hilal were arrested in their work place a
couple of days ago and they live in Al-Raml area.
Security raided and randomly arrested many in Al-Raml today.
Security
presence was very heavy in Al-Ashrafiyeh, and one of their cars was
positioned in Maisaloon street with 6 members in it.
It is confirmed that cameras and sound sensors were installed in the faculty of Civil Engineering in Tishreen University.
Few
pro regime are camping in Haroun park in support of Assad and to
condemn the Arab League, the big question here is how come those are
being protected with no trace of "armed gangs" whereas all other demos
and protests calling for freedom are being shot at!
A night demo took place in Slaybeh with the usual demands of toppling the regime and gaining freedom.
In
town of Haffeh: the village of Babanna was raided by security and thugs
which led to locals fleeing to nearby Haffeh to avoid the violence.
